GRACEHILL KIDS - CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Meet the Gracehill Children’s Church. Our goal is to build kids in the word so that they can grow to impact the world for Christ. We believe that the gospel must be effectively passed to the next generation for the purposes of Christ to be accomplished:
“What we have heard and known, what our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done….so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they, in turn, would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands. Ps 78:3-7
We invest in our kids through a biblical, well-planned ministry approach.
Our emphasis:
Age-appropriate children ministry: Our classes are divided according to age for effective ministry to the children. Our classes: Malaika (toddlers), Nuru (4-5 yrs.), Sifa (6-7 yrs.), Shujaa (8-10 yrs.) Seremala (11-13 yrs.), Rites of Passage (ROPES) class (13-15 yrs.)
Jirani Kids Club: This is a ministry to the neighborhood (Jirani) of the church. We have a weekly ministry on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings within the church for Jirani kids. It is a practical ministry designed to respond to the needs of the kids in a holistic way. The classes are also divided according to age. The teens (Jirani Teens Club) happens on Saturdays.
Children programs: We have diverse children’s programs that include Vacational Bible School (VBS), Camps and retreats, joint church family programs and many others.
Appropriate facilities: We are committed to ensuring that our children learn in facilities that are safe and conducive for fun and learning. We are continuously improving our facilities. Currently, our Sunday school block is under construction and will be able to handle up to 500 kids when complete. We are also developing a recreational play area Sunday School block
Gifted team of teachers: We have a team of God-loving, children-loving teachers who are well trained and organized to minister effectively to children. Our teachers are constantly trained and equipped to respond to the changing needs of the children’s ministry.
GRACEHILL YOOTH - (YOUTH ON THE HILL)
The YOOTH—Youth on The Hill—ministry is diverse and vibrant. Our goal is to build our young people in the Word so that they can impact their generation for Christ. In a world where the youth are the target of many harmful programs and ideas, we seek to be a voice that points them to a life of meaning, purpose and true joy—founded on God’s word.
Our Youth Ministries:
The Steppers: This is a class for teens and high school youth). The goal is to help each of them step out into their purpose from this early age by helping them find Christ and mature in their faith. We provide a platform for peer mentorship. Our prayer is that every young person in the church and in the community will be brought to a personal faith in Christ and equipped to apply their faith as a daily lifestyle. We believe faith and ministry can be fun and still be authentic.
The Pacers: These are the youth who are in college (post-high school youth). They meet every Sunday for a time of teaching and fellowship. The Pacers program provides a platform where the youth are able to grow together, learn from their mentors and from each other, and have an opportunity to serve. We are committed to raising a team of kingdom pacesetters through the Pacers!
Jirani Teens Club: This is our ministry to the neighborhood (Jirani) teens. Their meeting happens every Saturday in the church. We have a diverse program that helps them to know the Lord personally and also follow life principles that will help them to be agents of change in their families and in the community.
